GSQT – Department of Education and Training will launch a database for HCMC education sector.
At the seminar “Building the overall construction for information technology in Ho Chi Minh City” was held on August 31st, Department of Education and Training said they will launch a sharing database for HCMC education sector.
Over the years, the education sector has been applying information technology to improve the effectiveness of teaching and management. However, the applications have gradually revealed some limitations. There is no upgraded plan for information technology so that it can be applied to management and operation to meet the requirement of smart construction.
According to Le Duy Tan, Head of the Secondary Education Department, when building construction for the education sector will launch a sharing database. Specifically, there are two types of data: school data and off-school data.
Off-school data is needed to change the student’s residence from HCMC to other provinces and is also the basis of information management for children in need to connect with MOET’s educational software.
Mr. Tan said that the database connects to other content, such as teaching with IT, online software, participating in software activities… They will integrate into the sharing database but still ensure information security.
The overall IT construction of HCMC education sector is determined based on the city’s strategic vision, ensuring the professional and interoperability requirements of Department of Education and Training.
Therefore, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Director of Department of Education and Training, requested a divergent working arrangement, consulted with the implementation plan, together with Department of Information and Communication to have specific construction.
Totally, the education and information clusters are ready to be staffed by information technology staffs and the office needs to arrange information technology capacity to build the database of students and teachers.
