GSQT – In order to determine the goal to choose a suitable career, students need to listen to themselves more and calm down before turning.

Recently, at the day of the enrollment consultation contest “Right career – Bright future” was held by HCMC Department of Education and Training, Mr. Pham Doan Nguyen, Deputy Director of Admissions and Communication Consulting (University of Economics and Finance), said: “You should not focus too much on those “hot” faculty. Instead, check out your interests and abilities more to determine the goal to choose a suitable career.”

From another perspective, psychologist Vu Thien Toan, Vietnam Association of Psychological Science – Education, thinks that personal preference is only an initial condition. More importantly, students must understand whether or not they meet the requirements of the profession.

In addition, Mr. Vu Dinh Le, Deputy Head of Training Department (University of Law), said that the training programs now have soft knowledge and skills for students but only fundamental. After graduating from school, they must actively seek opportunities and constantly improve their professional skills.

Compare the current social context with over 20 years ago, Dr. Le Hieu Giang said that university admission was considered a “vital” exam because of the small number of universities. Now, the opportunity for them is more, the way of admissions is more diverse.

To keep up with the development of society, universities have gradually shifted towards interdisciplinary training to help them determine the goal to choose a suitable career and create more job opportunities after graduating.
