GSQT – Vo Tuong An is the name most mentioned in 2016, because of her extraordinary energy when she won 12 scholarships to study in the US.
Vo Tuong An has conquered 12 universities, including 4 universities with excellent educational quality, attracting the most elite students in the world (Ivy League group) and University of Stanford.
In particular, Harvard University grants scholarships of US $63,900/year, Stanford University grants scholarships of US $66,699/year, Yale University grants scholarships of US $68,230/year…
About 5 years ago, her chance at the US universities was very low because of the difficulties from foreign language ability and lack of information. At that time, in Binh Son, there was no English tutoring center yet, so she studied online through websites to prepare a dossier for studying abroad.
In the summer of 2014, the Vietnamese girl became a young global scholar at Yale University. Vo Tuong An and 5 other friends from Vietnam, India, South Korea and the United States have the same vision on establishing the non-profit International Catalysts for Empowerment (ICE) with the purpose of connecting students.
In the summer of 2015, representing ICE, the girl and her two friends from India and South Korea came to the isolated town of Gangolihat (near the border of India and China) to carry out the project.
In Vietnam, she is the co-founder of Viet Youth Service’s young community to improve personal skills, teamwork and implement projects to encourage students to read. This little girl has become the inspiration and motivation for many young people today about her determination and constant efforts in learning and in life.
