High school integrated program have enrollment for the first time in HCMC

GSQT – From this school year 2018-2019, HCMC will enroll students for high school integrated program. In the upcoming 10th grade entrance exam, there will be exam for integrated subjects.
In the 2018-2019 school year, some high school in HCMC will have entrance exam for high school integrated program. The number of enrollments is limited as below:
- Le Hong Phong High School (1 class): 35 students
- Tran Dai Nghia High School (2 classes): 70 students
- Nguyen Thuong Hien High School (2 classes): 70 students
- Gia Dinh High School (2 classes): 70 students
- Trung Vuong High School (2 classes): 70 students
- Phu Nhuan High School (2 classes): 70 students
Entry must be graduated from secondary school and satisfy the requirement for one of following groups:
Group 1: Students participated in secondary integrated program, students took the entrance exam in grade 10 high school integrated program. Students have 2 aspirations registration for integrated program.
- Based on scores of high school entrance examination and integrated program, these students will be given priority in placement as their aspirations to selected schools offering integrated programs.
- The method of calculating score is as below:
Integrated score = Literature score + English score + Math score + (Average score of Integrated program x 2) (on a scale of 10).
- The participant is only considered after participating in the entrance examination, passing all required examinations, not violating any regulations in the entrance exam and having all tests have scores higher than 2.
Group 2: Students participated in secondary integrated program, students took the entrance exam in grade 10 high school in HCMC which has advanced class or school. Students have 2 aspirations registration, including both advanced and integrated program.
- The method of calculating score is as below:
Integrated score = Literature score + English score + Math score + (Average score of Integrated program x 2) (on a scale of 10).
- Required score for advanced classes will follow the enrollment of advanced schools.
- The participant is only considered after participating in the entrance examination, passing all required examinations, not violating any regulations in the entrance exam and having all tests have scores higher than 2.
Group 3: Students who do not participate in secondary integrated program must meet the following conditions:
- Graduated from secondary school.
- Have the grade of English in grade 9 is equal or higher than 6 points, or have Certificate of English level B or Cambridge PET score of 140/210 (or 142/170) or FCE of 140 210 points or more (or 140/190) or TOEFL Junior certificate of 785/900 points or Level 1 with 56 points or higher of PTE General or equivalent English certificates.
- Students have to participate in the entrance examination for grade 10 in HCMC high schools. In addition, students are required to take the exams of Math, English and Literature and integrated subjects. Students have 2 integrated aspirations.
