GSQT – The current general education program has been signed by the new Deputy, Mr. Nguyen Huu Do, Minister of Education and Training with some requests to be made.

To fulfill the goal of “continuing to implement the current general education program in the orientation of developing the capacity and quality of learners”. Ministry of Education and Training requested to continue reviewing the content of teaching in the current textbook, streamlining the teaching content that exceeds the level of knowledge and skills of the current general education program; adjusted to avoid duplication of content among subjects, educational activities; to supplement updated information in accordance with the old and outdated information; not teaching contents, exercises or questions in the textbook beyond the level of knowledge and skills of the current general education program; absolutely not teaching content outside the textbook.

Change the way, teaching methods

It should be noted that the active teaching methods and techniques must be strengthened, promoting being active and self-learning of students through divide the teaching process into activities: practice, present, discuss, protect the study results; teacher’s reviews, comments, evaluates, concludes for the student to receive and use.

Adding more forms of exam and evaluation for grades

Schools and professional groups shall work out plans for examination and evaluation of pupils’ learning results in conformity with the education plans of each study subject and educational activities of the schools according to orientations for capacity, quality development of student.

Create creative motivation for teachers

MOET requires intermediate management agencies to focus on measures to facilitate and encourage motivation for teachers to be active and creative in the implementation of general education program plan.
