Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is an entrance exam for master’s degrees in the US. GRE test is used to compare and evaluate academic performance alongside the university’s transcript and other relevant qualifications of the candidate. GRE tests candidates on 3 basic competencies: Verbal, Math, and Analytical Writing. GRE exam structure consists of 4 parts as follows:

• Analytical Writing: There are 2 parts, you have to write an analytical paper and give your opinion on a debate and a social issue with the time of taking the test in 30 minutes each.
• Verbal: Consists of 2 parts, each consisting of 20 sentences with a duration of 30 minutes, assessing the candidate’s ability to relate the components of the sentence, identify the relationship between words and concepts.
• Quantitative: Consists of 2 parts, each containing 20 sentences but with a duration of 35 minutes, mainly related to arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.
• Unidentified: These are 20 pointless random questions within 30 minutes, appear randomly and you will not be able to distinguish them from the rest.

Currently, many business schools begin to take GRE instead of GMAT. If you are desperate with GMAT and have taken the test 3-4 times and have not achieved high results, you can consider taking the GRE test and contacting the school to see if they accept it or not. Even many schools like Stanford GSB and some other prestigious universities have considered the GRE certification value equivalent to GMAT.

Learning GRE in HCMC
