The value of ACT certificate
Except for GPA, English proficiency test such as IELTS, TOEFL, and extra-curricular activities, two standardized ACT and SAT entrance exams are the criteria for applying to universities and colleges in US.
For those who intend to study in US universities, ACT is not new. This is the standardized test used to assess the academic performance of high school students. ACT is considered by US universities to be equivalent to SAT and has become more and more popular both locally and in Vietnam in recent years. Therefore, ACT exam and things to know is that the content that parents and students in the senior year of high school are interested in learning and investing in exam preparation early to be able to achieve the desired score.

ACT exam structure consists of 5 parts:
- English: 75 questions – 45 minutes.
- Math: 60 questions – 60 minutes.
- Reading: 40 questions – 35 minutes.
- Science: 40 questions – 35 minutes.
- Writing: Argument about a given problem – 40 minutes.
Each section is scored on a scale of 1 to 36. After summing of all 4 sections, the average is the official ACT score.
For example, your results for each section include English 30, Math 31, Reading 33, Science 30, then the ACT score will be 31.
If you choose the Writing section, you will get separate score in the range of 0 – 12.

The test is held periodically in September, October, December, February, April and June. Candidates register online via the official website act.org and pay the fee via international debit card. You will receive the notification of the exam time and address via email.
