GSQT – If you want to study abroad in US, it cannot definitely ignore SAT and ACT certificate. Students are getting more familiar with SAT exam. However, because of widen knowledge, that’s not enough. Because ACT exam is increasingly common and have been put into one of the required exam of some US schools. Therefore, you need to have ACT test experience.
What is ACT exam structure? What’s different from the SAT? These are common questions was asked a lot which makes confused to students about these two programs. ACT exam consists of 4 required parts: English, Math, Reading, Sciences as well as non-mandatory writing. Some small advices for the candidates are to find out ACT test experience or do sample tests to point out exactly your weaknesses, assess the level then you can apply an appropriate study plan to enhance knowledge.
Some ACT test experience are to begin from Sciences, Reading, English, Writing and eventually Math. The pressure of taking ACT is not time, but Sciences, Reading and English. For international students who are too familiar with Sciences because they have already learnt, but for students studying standard programs, they do not know where to start. Sciences exam is not entirely scientific knowledge which has likely arguing skill, reading maps and a huge of academic vocabulary that you must have to remember.
Because of ACT challenges, you should find prep books to study ACT exam prep. As ACT curriculums and materials are quite limited, so you should start doing all questions and exercises in the books and should not overlook any questions or forms of exercises. There are some books you may refer to as the 1.296 ACT Practice Questions; Barron’s ACT Practice Tests 6; Cracking the ACT; McGraw-Hill’s ACT… If you feel that self-study is not enough, you should study at ACT preparation center or ACT preparation tutor to improve knowledge.
