GSQT – Any study program will have its own difficulties and many students ask: “Is it difficult to study A-level?”
What is A-level?
To be able to have a deep understanding about is it difficult to study A-level, first we need to know what A-level is. A-level is a two-year college-level program, which is considered to be equivalent to the 11th-12th grade program in Vietnam, is accredited by universities around the world. All students who have graduated from 10th or 11th grade in Vietnam with good academic results are likely to be accepted into the program. Students must score at least C for 5 GCSEs (including Mathematics) or equivalent and a minimum of IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL 71 IBT.
A-level usually divided into two levels. The first year is called AS-level with 4 – 6 subjects and ends with AS-level exam. In the second year, you will choose 3 of the subjects in the first year to continue and finish the program with these three subjects. Student can study more than 3 subjects if they wish to. Selected subjects are based on career orientation and academic ability. Choosing the right subjects will help students improve their chances of being accepted to prestigious universities.
The difficulty of A-level
“Is it difficult to study A-level?” is unavoidable for most new student. In order to answer this question in a satisfactory way, we should examine our abilities, our favorite subject, and our future career path.
If you already have your clearly defined personal goals, learning the difficult subject is not the problem because when study A-levels, you don’t have to take too many courses or study in broad, but student will have a deeply understand about just one problem. This is a program designed to help students to further develop themselves for later career. In addition, soft skills are developed comprehensively from analyzing to processing on how to communicate, speak in front of a crowd, handle different situations… In short, study A-level is not too difficult, the most important thing is that we must identify the suitable subjects that are suitable with our career orientation and academic ability.
