GSQT – To pursue the dream studying in the United State, at first, you have to pass the admission tests basing on international standards. ACT is one of international contests which decide your own future. Many young people still have not understood “What is the full form of ACT?”

ACT (American College Testing), is an admission contest at colleges and universities in the US, focus on assessing what students have studied at school. So, what is the full form of ACT? ACT includes five sections: four compulsory sections and an optional section.

1. English: This section mainly checks your abilities of spelling, grammar, the usage of words and your reading comprehension. This part lasts 45 minutes including 75 questions from 5 reading paragraphs. Students have to do this part firstly in the ACT tests.

1. Math: This section focus on checking your Math skills. Generally, this part is quite easy for Vietnamese students. This part lasts 60 minutes including 60 questions. You have to do this part after finishing the English section.
2. Reading: This part focus on checking reading skills lasting 35 minutes and including 40 questions of four of reading comprehension paragraphs. These reading paragraphs are more difficult and complicated than English’s paragraph is. Unlikely SAT tests, the questions of reading in ACT tests are easier and the time for reading is shorter. This part occurs after students take a break.
3. Science Reasoning: This part assesses the critical thinking of students for science. Most of the questions are from difficult scientific topics to assure that students cannot predict. However, to finish these questions, students do not need to have scientific knowledge about these topics. All skills which students need is good critically thinking in science. This part lasts 35 minutes including 40 questions from seven scientific paragraphs.
4. Writing: This part is optional. Students have right to choose whether to do or not. This part only adds to the report of scores of the writing section. Most of the universities do not force students on finishing Writing section. All above information explained for “What is the full form of ACT?”
5. ACT becomes a choice to replace to SAT test because of the advantages of ACT test. ACT test help students prepare knowledge from basic to advanced and feel more confidence to conquer their dreams.
