GSQT – ACT and SAT are the two certificates used to enroll the most popular college entrance in US. So take SAT or ACT for studying in US? Should we choose to get both of these certificates?
Many students always wonder if take SAT or ACT for studying in US? In fact, these two exams have the same purpose and difficulty, so it is not necessary to take both certificates, just focus on the exam that is suitable to the best to bring the highest results. However, the difference in structure, time duration, content and scoring will help you know which part is more appropriate for you.
ACT consists of 215 questions in 2 hours and 55 minutes with 4 parts in English, Math, Reading and Science, along with an optional essay in 40 minutes. Meanwhile, SAT has all 154 questions and needs 3 hours to complete, with an essay for 50 minutes. SAT exams are similar to ACT but do not include questions about Science. Math includes knowledge of algebra, arithmetic and geometry, requiring you to have logical thinking skills, including knowledge outside of the curriculum. English and Reading understand the vocabulary used in the academic environment. Finally, SAT will test your reading comprehension of a certain text in the essay.
