1. Few parents accessing to the new education model

Science subject curriculum is still quite new and unfamiliar to many parents and Vietnamese students, just some people know. In addition, this program has only been applied in some high schools leading to the general psychology of underestimating this “unpopular nationwide” education model. Therefore, it’s hard to find places teaching Science in English extra classes.

2. Misconceptions about teacher’s qualifications

There are still many parents who do not have proper awareness of the teacher’s qualifications. They said that teachers would not master their knowledge or use English fluently. However, in fact, there are still many teachers who have learned in foreign countries as well as working in international schools many years mastering both Math knowledge and English.

3. The difference in foreign language skills with students

Students who study Science in English are usually good at foreign languages, able to read and understand foreign language fluently, even many international students are allowed to study a foreign language since they were a child so they can speak English fluently as their mother tongue. Meanwhile, some teachers have differences in communicating in English with the students. This discourages students from trusting their teachers.

4. The centers have not created the trust

Along with the demand for learning science subjects in English, many centers are providing for you to find places teaching Science in English extra classes. However, because of its difficult to find a quality tutor for this new education model, most centers still have not built a reliable and qualified team that can make parents completely put their trust on.
