GSQT – What is AP program? It’s an advanced placement program for high school students who plan to attend an international university or study abroad.

AP, built in 1955, is run by College Board, a two-year program that is more demanding than a regular high school.

Therefore, AP is usually for high school students with good academic results, good motivation to study and want to achieve higher level in a particular subject. Students in AP classes will explore the issue in depth and have different perspectives on a subject. What is AP program?

AP is flexible and has a variety of subject specific subjects. Study AP, students will choose to study according to their interests and study goals in 38 subjects including:

• Art: History Art, Studio Art.
• Languages: Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Spanish.
• History: US, European, World.
• Science: Biology, Physics, Chemistry.
• English: English, Language, Literature.
• Computer Science: Computer Science.
• Math: Calculus, Statistics.

Students are not required to study AP but if they learn AP from high school, they will increase their chances to attend college. Held only once in May, AP exam lasts from 3 to 4 hours with the scores range from 1 to 5.

Students who are home-schooled or otherwise unable to participate in AP courses can still apply for AP exams. Entries will be sent to Educational Testing Service for grading. AP courses and individual exams will be of great benefit to students wishing to pursue a specific undergraduate degree in more than 60 countries.
