GSQT – American College Testing (ACT) is a standardized test for high school students who want to apply to universities in US. Then, what is ACT certification?

What is ACT certification? Like SAT exam, ACT is a paper-based standardized exam which is managed nationally and used to assess contestants. This certification is quite essential to anyone who have intention to study abroad in America. ACT exam consists of 5 tests:

English: The exam mostly focuses on spelling, grammar, appropriate words using. Moreover, there are some questions to check students’ reading skill.

Reading: This section is to assess contestants’ reading skill. Paragraphs in this section are much harder than ones in English section. According to lots of students who used to takes ACT and SAT, ACT reading exam has quite easier of difficult level but time is shorter.

Math: In this section, contestants will be assessed their mathematics skill. Generally, this part is quite easy for Vietnamese students because Maths in Vietnamese education is harder than it is in America.

Science reasoning: This test is to evaluate students’ scientific thinking skill. Most of the questions are from difficult science topics that contestants barely know. Nevertheless, to be able to answer these questions, students need good scientific thinking skill.

Writing: This section is optional and always administered at the end of the test. It is only given as a separate writing score. Most colleges don’t require students to take this section.
