- Full data format
This test evaluates the ability to reason of candidates. Problem solving questions have many options in the areas of arithmetic, basic trigonometry and primary geometry. GMAT tips and strategies are to solve the problem and find the correct answer among 5 different choices. Some questions requires calculator for the calculations. The rest issues real-life problems that require mathematical solutions.
The test will provide two data reports and your job is to quickly identify the relevant data and eliminate the inappropriate methods to get the final result. All numbers used are real numbers. Puzzles and values included in the questions provide useful information for candidates to answer questions.

- Problem-solving format
This test examines the ability to reason through using non-conventional instructions. Candidates are given a question with two informational data that may be useful for giving answer. Then the candidate has to decide whether they only need one data that is informative enough to answer the question or both to be able to answer the question. Completing data is a unique Math question form created specifically for GMAT. This section have questions related to high school mathematics, you will have 5 answers to choose in each question. Note that you need to thoroughly understand the question and guard against trap responses.
In this section, calculator is not allowed, which means you will have to calculate in your head. GMAT tips and strategies are to keep away all the calculators you use everyday and force yourself to do all the basic calculations in your head every day until you finish taking GMAT test.
