GSQT – SSAT is a foundation to help you prepare basic reading, writing, vocabulary, and math skills for the SAT and the opportunity to win scholarships at US high schools. So what is the SSAT exam structure?

What is SSAT?
SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) is a standardized entrance exam for students in grades 3-11 to attend private secondary and high schools in the US. Despite the similarities, SSAT is unrelated to the SAT Reasoning Test and is not managed by the College Board. This test has only been organized by AEG Vietnam in recent years so it has not been disseminated.
Normally, students plan to take SSAT exam in grade 7-9 to be able to take the real exams in grades 8-9. Average time to prepare enough skills as well as build the amount the required knowledge for the test falls into 3-6 months.

What is the SSAT exam structure?
The test focuses on the skills needed for students to study in private schools such as speaking, quantitative, and reading skills, regardless of experience and academic achievement in the classroom.
This test consists of 3 levels, for 3 different groups of students, so what is the SSAT exam structure?
- With Elementary Level for students in grades 3-4, the test will take 2 hours 5 minutes, each section (Math, Vocabulary, Reading) has a scale of 300 to 600. Total score minimum of 900 and up to 1800.
- With Middle Level for students in grades 5-7, the test will take 3 hours and 5 minutes, each section (Math, Vocabulary, Reading) has a scale of 440 to 710. Total score minimum of 1320 and up to 2130.
- With Upper Level for students in grades 8-11, the test will take 3 hours 5 minutes, each section (Math, Vocabulary, Reading) has a scale of 500 to 800. Total score minimum of 1500 and up to 2400.
