GSQT – AP is developed by College Board for high school students in US. If you want to study in US, AP is no stranger. What are the AP subjects?
AP consists of courses that correspond to the first year’s college-level content, which helps students get started and has the opportunity to earn college credits right from high school. AP courses and exams are the choice for students who want to achieve a higher level in a particular subject and are an advantage for more prominent profiles than those enrolled in the standard program.
AP is currently held in more than 100 countries around the world. With the exception of US and Canada, more than 600 universities have accredited AP degree in the admissions process.
AP exam is held once in May in the form of multiple-choice and free answers tests. The scores range from 1 to 5, with 3 being the most satisfactory score for most schools. However, to gain entry to top universities, students must score 4 or 5 depends on each schools standard.
There are currently more than 38 AP courses. But what are the AP subjects? The choice of subjects depends on the abilities and orientations of students. Typically each student will choose from 3 to 4 subjects to attend.
Unlike IB, students must attend a school that is licensed to teach the program, home self-study, or cannot enroll AP courses are still able to register for AP exams.
The host of AP exams in Vietnam is usually international schools in May. If you are a free candidate, you should contact the school in mid-February. If earlier, the school has no plans to prepare. If later, schools will not receive anymore because of they already sent the final number of candidates with College Board on what are the AP subjects.
You should also send email or calls to schools to ask for the most basic information about whether the school holds the course you want to take, and whether the school accepts applicants this year.
