GSQT – A-level 4-year college preparation is relatively compared to be 11-12 grade program in Vietnam and acknowledged by universities and colleges all over the world. High A-level score is a prerequisite for undergraduate admissions, especially for medicine, law, and engineering in the UK.
A-level program often has 2 stages. First year (called AS-level) includes 4-6 subjects and ends with AS-level examination. In second year, you can choose and use 3 out of many first-year subjects to study further, take program-ending examination. Students may study more than 3 subjects. Subjects are chosen according to career orientation and study ability. Choosing suitable subjects will help students advance probability to get admitted into prestigious colleges. Common registered subjects include: Basic and Advanced Mathematics, English Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Language (Classical and Modern).
Final score is measured by tests, writing components, and evaluations of extra-curricular activities. A-level score range is from A to E. Conventionally, scores of A & B are required entrance of top colleges. High scores help students develop better in college environment.
