GSQT – UK Government said it would provide free support to international students in transportation and health care during the Covid era in the context of a complicated epidemic.
Information was told by Mr. Sam Wood, Deputy Consulate General of the UK, to hundreds of students from the University of Science (National University of Ho Chi Minh City) at the UK Education and Technology Journey program.
According to Mr. Sam Wood, although the UK also suffered heavy consequences from Covid-19, the government of this country will continue to welcome international students, offering many measures to ensure health care during the Covid era.
International students will enjoy the same health benefits as a British citizen, free of charge at the National Health System (NHS), and receive a number of programs to support, consult and shuttle service upon arrival in the UK.
“We must remain active in the post-Covid-19 setting for at least another year. So we will support you all to the UK”, said Mr. Sam Wood.
In addition, UK Government, in collaboration with universities, strives to provide maximum flexibility for health care during the Covid era. He applies measures from visa regulations to other forms of study to ensure the safety of international students.
Although the admissions process and teaching format will change somewhat in 2021 due to the complicated developments of the epidemic, UK universities will continue to implement enrollment and encourage international students.
Mr. Sam Wood emphasized, when traveling is still difficult, students can study remotely and just apply for a study visa. “We’ve seen innovative examples of how to roll out high-quality online learning in schools and institutions across the UK. UK education sector is doing its best to prepare the materials for the next summer and fall term”, he said.
