STEAM – a term abbreviated from Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. This is an interdisciplinary teaching concept that emphasizes practice-based learning instead of traditional education.
STEAM was the original creative idea of Rhode Island School (USA), then used by many educators and gradually spread throughout the country. This is a new type of educational approach based on the assessment criteria, with the aim of helping students understand the relationship between knowledge blocks and can be applied well in practice.

The highlight of STEAM is the connection between fields into reality. Experiments and practical activities often take place so that students can discuss, draw conclusions, and remember deeply. For example, during science class, to explain to the students why the river water is clear, the teacher will let students try to filter water containing impurities with natural materials such as stone, gravel, sand and draw the result.
What is the difference between STEM and STEAM?
STEM is no different than STEAM, except that STEM has no art. The art here is about solving problems by exploring, discovering new ways to apply science teaching. Many people feel that adding art is unnecessary, but the application of creativity and art to teaching brings high results.

Therefore, the best way to encourage children to participate in this program is to stimulate their curiosity. From an early age, parents should encourage children to ask questions, explore and play, then seek passion and support them to pursue that.
