GSQT – SAT I and SAT II are important certificates, playing a big role in helping you have a solid position in your favorite university when you study in US. But what is the format of SAT II?
Most schools require SAT I in their application. SAT II is not as popular as SAT I, there are only a few schools that require it, but if you have more SAT II certificates, you will have an advantage overall. So what is the format of SAT II?
SAT II currently has 20 subjects, including: Math 1 and 2, Physics, Chemistry, Ecology and Molecular Biology, Literature, American History and World History. Other languages include French, German, Italian, Spanish, Latin, Jewish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese.
- Math: Students can choose Level 1 and Level 2. Level 1 is mainly the basic knowledge of the secondary school, including numbers and calculations, geometry and algebra, statistics and probability. Math 2 includes all knowledge of Math 1 and more advanced, with more trigonometry and functions.
- Physics: Including knowledge of Math 1 plus knowledge of mechanics, electromagnetism, waves and optics, heat and dynamics and some other parts.
- Chemistry: Including structure and state of matter, types of reactions, chemical heat…
- Biology: Students can choose from two sections: Ecology or Molecular Biology. In particular, Ecology studies the distribution and living of organisms in ecosystems. Molecular Biology studies the various cellular activities, photosynthesis and respiratory processes…
- Literature: If you are good at English, Literature in SAT II exam cannot make you difficult with the content including prose, poetry, drama… from the Renaissance to the present.
- History: There are two options: American History and World History. In particular, American history will have topics on economy, politics, science and society. World history includes the beginning of mankind, ancient civilizations, the 19th and 20th centuries…
