GSQT – Like other subjects in IB program, to achieve a high score in IB English exam, practicing IB English past papers is not to be missed.
In IB English, it is divided into 3 small subjects:
- English A: Literature, divided into 2 levels HL (Higher Level) and SL (Standard Level), available in about 55 languages.
- English A: Language and Literature, divided into 2 levels HL (Higher Level) and SL (Standard Level), available in about 17 languages.
- English A: Literature and Performance, only SL (Standard Level) and available only in English and some languages such as Spanish and French.
Students can choose one of three subjects depending on their strengths and abilities.
During the course of studying IB English, whether you choose HL or SL, students must go through 2 paper lessons including Paper 1 and Paper 2, there is also Writing Task (WT) and Further Oral Activity (FOA).
First, in order to practice IB English past papers, you need to find the topic at least 3 years ago, read through and understand the type of question that is often given in the topic, from which to know where it focuses and have a plan for specific learning.
Once you have a clear understanding of structure and the key areas to study, you should re-systemize your general knowledge with mind maps for the entire curriculum. Then, summarize the knowledge of each chapter, then start reading it again and again until you master from the basic to the core.
Finally, to IB English past papers practice section, you should first solve each section in the subject and do not need to watch the time. Repeat the sections in each thread repeatedly until the desired time is achieved for each section.
Next, focus on solving each problem separately. If you still haven’t reached the desired time, try to do it several times until you reach the speed. Because if it is just a mock test, but you still have not reached the time limit, then when it comes to the actual test, the mental pressure will be very high, making it difficult for you to do well.
