GSQT – SAT is one of the standardized tests for enrollment in many US universities. There are some Vietnam universities recruiting with SAT from 2018.
SAT is administered by College Board and is used by universities to test English proficiency, assess the natural and social knowledge and analytical skills that address students’ problems. Therefore, questions on the test are quite “trapped”, requiring students to develop their reasoning abilities. All American colleges and universities accept SAT scores because they will be a measure of the success of a student’s college education.
From March 2016, SAT was changed to a new format called new SAT with exam structure:
- Total time allowed to complete the SAT is 3 hours (add 50 minutes to the article).
- Total score for the test is 400 to maximum 1600.
- Reading section consists of 96 sentences on a scale of 200 to 800.
- Mathematics of 58 questions on a scale of 200 to 800.
College entrance exam in 2018 promises to be a vibrant recruitment season, with some higher education institutions offering new enrollment methods that are as close to college admissions as the ways that some universities in the world recruit.
According to official information of 2018 of Vietnam National University (Hanoi), this year, there are some Vietnam universities recruiting with SAT from 2018, also considered recruiting with candidates who use:
- High school exam results.
- Result of competency ability assessment still has expired that was organized by Vietnam National University (Hanoi).
- SAT test results.
- Cambridge International Examinations A-level.
This is the first year Vietnam National Universisty (Hanoi) has recruited SAT applicants and is also one of the first Vietnam universities recruiting with SAT. This university intends to consider the applicants with score of 65th percentile (SAT 1040/1600) or above. Compared to the maximum score – that’s the point that the admissions committee thinks is pretty good.
