GSQT – Whenever we mention Physics program, many people don’t think that there would be not much of a difference but just the same curriculum taught in English. However, being compiled by natives, there is a significant difference in the design, presentation, explanation and reason in the books. So what are the differences in Physics in English programs?
An overview
Honestly, looking at the syllabus of Physics international programs, we won’t be able to see the difference as the topics are relatively similar to our Vietnamese programs. Specifically, we can mention Force, Work, Pressure, Wave, Electrical Field, Circuit…
The obvious difference when we look at a typical textbook of Physics in English programs is that 100% of the book is written in English, so is the knowledge, and this may cause the new comers a hard time. On the other hand, if we look at it positively, it is the chance for you to get closer to the world’s knowledge. Studying subjects in English is one of the best ways that you can walk your path to success in the age of integration.
Content and methods
Despites the similarity, the true difference of Physics in English programs comes from the ways of presentation, explanation as well as the logic in the distribution of theory along with applicable exercises. Moreover, the extra readings after each lesson also show us the practical application of Physics in our daily life, making students feel the usefulness of what they learn from Physics and encourage them to research more and have more inspiration for the subject.
Last but not least, the teaching methods of foreign teachers really bring a big difference. With experienced teachers who have gone through the same process of studying in international programs, they have a deeper understanding of how students study and the difficulties that they usually encounter. Now, we can pause start wondering why Western countries are so much more advanced in Technology. It is because of their way of reasoning and looking at problems through a scientific perspective, and all these are passed down through those people with the same way of thinking.
