GSQT – In almost common international programs around the world, AP is cannot be unmentioned. Though AP program is not as common as IB, the specialization in majors or study programs is popular to students who have clear orientations. Then what is AP program ?
AP is known as Advanced Placement program including post high school courses or exams, which creates opportunities for excellent students to study in advanced classes, or gives course credits which are the same as in college program though you’re still high school students (same as 10th-12th grade).
In some respects, AP program is quite similar to Vietnamese program. For example, some gifted schools usually arrange excellent or gifted students into one class, and there are only a few good classes in the whole school, about 2-3 classes. With this description, now you can understand what is AP program.
AP exam which is taken each May by combining multiple choice questions and writing essays. The grade will be from 1 to 5, but those who get 3 can also be qualified to get into foreign universities. However, if you can get 4 or 5 in the exam, you will have higher chance to study in famous universities.
Students who learn AP will be more outstanding than the others when learning advanced course in colleges. They can also finish the course earlier and save more time as well as money. The difficulty in AP exam is mostly in the writing essay section which requires you to have good grammar, writing skill, profound knowledge. Besides, depending on the exam schools and courses that you’ve chosen, it will have different exams, including: Analytics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Comparative Government and Politics, Literature and Composition, Art History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and especially Economics.
