GSQT – If you are international school students, you have to know IB program. This is one of the most popular programs in the world and its certificates are recognized by almost universities. However, not many people understand what is IB program. Especially, students are going to move to international school or studying abroad.

What is IB program? IB (International Baccalaureate) is a training program in 2 years for students from 16-19 years old who had passed IGCSE exam. In this program, you will study 6 subjects, in which, 3 subjects are standard level and 3 subjects left are higher level. You have 6 main groups to choose your favourite subjects. But, you have to study each group a subject. Also, you can choose any group for your last subject.

Subjects can be distributed as follows:

• Group 1: Languages (English, Italian, German).
• Group 2: Languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese).
• Group 3: Business Administration, Economics, Geography, History, Philosophy, Anthropology, IT.
• Group 4: Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
• Group 5: Math and Informatics.
• Group 6: Arts.

To pass IB program’s subjects, you have to complete an essay (Extended Essay) about 4000 words and “Theory of Knowledge” course (TOK) and as well as join creative activity – social activity (CAS).

In fact, international program is not different from Vietnam education program, because they have the same framework. However, Vietnam education has leaned towards theory which requires you understand what you are learning clearly and exactly. In international schools, some students have catched up with the lessons, some haven’t. There are a lot of causes such as teacher’s pronunciation, self-learning environment or help from teachers…
