GSQT – Like other test, candidates should have tips to obtain high scores. You need to refer IB skill test to pass this exam easily, as following.
Firstly, you have to understand concepts, terminologies, theorems, principles and other things in the lessons. The best method to prepare for the test is to ask and answer about concepts by yourself. You should notice and underline important knowledge. Moreover, you need to divide concepts into small parts and figure out relationships between them. By doing so, you will understand clearly and have logical thinking for intense issues.
Secondly, you have to improve skills of doing calculations, know method to use calculation efficiently, and notice questions requiring you to represent your methods to solve it. In this test, you also have to respond 1 or 2 advanced questions. These consists of 18 points for contents and 2 points for quality. Moreover, questions of the test usually have 3 or 4 small parts. There is at least one questions having 8 or 9 points. The advice here is to spend 5 minutes at the beginning of the test to scan all questions, remark requirements and point of each question.
IB skill test also requires you to use scientific terminologies reasonably. If not, you will not be scored. Additionally, you have to answer questions in English (or other languages) appropriately. However, do not complicate your performance. Examiners would be confused when there are too many languages appeared in your performance. You should do your utmost to make it simple and specific.
Finally, you need to review before time is over. You will get one point for quality if you represent your performance clearly and coherently. If you draw a chart or diagram, make sure that you use your pencil, not your pens and crayons. The more you practice, the more confident you are. Once you understand IB skill test, it would be not so hard to achieve ideal scores.
